Welcome to Mother's for Daughters', Inc. We are a non-profit corporation working to find a cure for Breast and Ovarian Cancer. The three directors, who form Mother's for Daughters', Inc. work strickly on a volunteer basis with no monetary gains.
This event was founded in the fall of 2007 when Sharon Alves, a breast cancer survivor and Magnus Thorsson, (owner of the Gray Ghost Inn) were discussing an event that would bring fun and caring motorcyclists together to help raise awareness and money for these two worthy causes. Thus Mother's for Daughters' was formed.
In May of 2008 the 1st annual event was held in West Dover, VT. Over $7,000.00 was raised and presented to: The Breast Cancer Research Foundation and The Ovarian Cancer Research Fund, Inc.
In May of 2009, the 2nd annual event raised $15,000.00 for Breast Cancer and Ovarian Cancer Research.
In May of 2010, the 3rd annual event raised $25,000.00 for Breast and Ovarian Cancer Research.
With the help of other motorcyclists, motorcycle groups and local businesses of Dover, VT we are making a difference in working to find a cure for these two types of cancer.
